The Evil One

March 19, 2012

The other day while I was cleaning the house I noticed that it was quiet. A little too quiet considering that I have a two year-old. I immediately dropped what I was doing and went searching for him. This is how I found him.

He was so excited to show me how he was helping me clean. Seeing that he had been playing in the toilet so he would now need a bath and I needed to clean the bathroom I decided to kill to birds with one stone by giving him a bath while I cleaned the bathroom. Thinking that he would be fine while I ran downstairs to get my cleaning supplies I left him alone. Rookie mistake. By the time I got back upstairs he had unrolled all the toilet paper into the toilet bowl and was using the scrub brush to try to stuff it down the hole. Needles to say the toilet was clogged.

Another funny incident was when I told Forrest we had an Orthodontist appointment. He asked me what they were going to do while he was there. I told him I really didn't know. His response was maybe they can do some tests to try to figure out how to get these things off. I laughed and told him they already do know how to get them off they are just waiting until your teeth are cooperating. When I talked to the Orthodontist it seems like he still has another 2 to 4 months. At least there is an end in sight.

School Mornings

March 13, 2012

For the past four years Eliza has ridden the bus. It comes right to our house and picks her up. The only problem is that the bus comes at 7:40am in the morning. After the first year of having to wake her up at 6:45am so that she could make the bus we made the decesion that I would drive her to school and then the bus would drive her home. Since she was four I have been driving her to school. That is until last week when she decided that she would like to ride the bus to and from school. We decided that she could, but she would have to get up and not be hard to get along with. These are some of my favorite comments that she made throughout the week.

Wednesday Morning: Mom when is it going to be Saturday so that I can sleep in.

Thursday Morning: With Greg she wouldn't open her eyes. Greg kept telling her he needed to see her eyes open so that he knew she was awake. Her response was Just a minute Dad I need to fix my eyes.

But my most favorite was when I told Colt that he needed to help me watch for the bus. He ran and got his binoculars and started watching it was really funny.

This is how we are most mornings waiting for the bus. The IPad really is popular. On the bad mornings everyone is fighting over it. On the good mornings everyone plays on it together.
